| Very hard, fine grained materials have
a very low abrasion rate and hence require a blade with
a soft metal matrix. This allows the diamond grit in
the bond to be exposed and released at a greater rate,
thus always facilitating a fast cut. It is also very
important that the actual diamond grit has the correct
fracturing properties to prevent wear-flatting and blunting
of the blade. |
