To ensure all delivery routes are covered, we have long standing accounts with all of the following courier networks -

Our normal terms of delivery are FREE NEXT DAY on all orders over £100 nett, (this includes Northern Ireland, The Scottish Islands, The Isle of Man and the Scilly Isles), regardless of order value.

Delivery charges to non UK mainland destinations can be mutually agreed as they arise. We operate a Delivery service to Jersey and Guernsey where a 48hr service is available and is charged at cost).

Saturday, Specified time and Same day delivery are all available for very urgent orders. These would be charged to you at cost. For next day delivery, orders can be placed until 4:30pm the previous day. For special requirements orders can be despatched as late as 7.00pm.

Orders can be delivered to specified depots or sent direct to site, (providing a postcode is given). The only exceptions are for bespoke tools produced for specialist work.

All professional dry cutting blades and core drills are manufactured by us to our own specifications in our UK factory in Devon. This ensures that we are able to consistently provide you with the ideal match and best cost-per-cut for your chosen application.

Investment in Research and Development has enabled us to consistently produce the highest quality, diamond segments which are manufactured in Devon and allow us to produce cutting blades and core drills which are taylored to the materials of the UK and the other countries we support.

All Dry core drills and bespoke tools and equipment are alos manufactured in our own workshops in Devon.

All standard grade blades are produced (again using full laser welding technology) in our factory in South Korea, as with nearly all the other UK suppliers of cutting tools for the Small scale building firms and DIY users.

Additionally, we are distributors for these products.

Utilising a state of the art research laboratory, innovative products are designed and tested to assure the consistent high quality of our products. Production is fully automated with stringent quality control systems ensuring consistency throughout the range.

All products are individually serial numbered for quality tracking from manufacture to delivery, to ensure full satisfaction until the tool has completed its lifetime.

Our Internal Health & Safety policies follow the standard routes expected by law, i.e.
a) Display of the statutory poster 'Health and Safety Law'
b) Written Safety Policy statements.
c) Risk assessments of the Health & Safety of our employees.
d) Communication of emergency and evacuation procedures.
e) Consultation of employees on health issues which may affect them.
f) Recording of injuries in the workplace.

Our External policies follow the route of only supplying cutting equipment that conforms to all the expected industry standards, and reinforcing this with very extensive combined Employers and Public Liability Insurance (the policy number for which is shown overleaf if you need to verify any levels of cover).

In addition to further encourage safe use of diamond tools, we supply full safety instructions with all products, and Safety Glasses (as enclosed) to all first time customers (these are deliberately styled fashionably to encourage wear).

As a Company with its Head Offices based in the heart of the Devon countryside, we are probably more aware of enviromental issues than many of our city based competitors, hence the following are just some of the ways we strive to do our part for the enviroment. Diamond Discs Direct has in place recycling schemes for the following:

• Diamond grit reclamation from part used segments.
• Recycling of steel centres and core drill barrels.
• Environmentally friendly packaging systems including waste paper shredding and non-toxic edible packing chips for animal consumption.

A Company minibus is used as transport for the office-based staff to reduce both travelling expense and vehicle pollutants.

We also advocate the use of water cooling and dust extraction systems as stated in the codes of practice set out by the Heath and Safety Executive and are constantly engaged in developing products with the aim of reducing noise and dust levels.
